My inspirations for my paintings come from my photographs of Prince of Wales Island. Presently, I have over 10,000 photographs in my data base. I don't go anywhere without my Sony Cyber Shot.

Many of my paintings are historical landmarks and actual scenes, however, some of them are bits and pieces of various places that may very well exist somewhere in our vast Island Wilderness.

I incorporate the real Southeast Alaska in every painting with the dead snags from alpine and karst areas, fallen logs and branches and the trees with their unusual shapes and sizes that are subject to high winds and precipitation in our Rainforest.
