Hollis Public Library Meeting

The Board of Directors will meet on November 11, 2007 at 3:00 PM for elections of board members. Anyone interested in filling a seat on the board is requested to attend meeting. The public is welcome.

The Hollis Public Library was established in 1985. Originally, the library was set up in an old US Forest Service cabin with no water and only a wood stove for heat. Books and shelving materials were donated by local residents.

Presently, the library occupies a 1300 square foot building and offers over 19,000 books. Our library has a group of loyal supporters and users as well as being the center of community affairs and a meeting place for Prince of Wales Island residents.

The Hollis Public Library is solely operated by volunteers and provides educational material for the local school and residents.. They appreciate donations or contributions and look forward to continue to provide great services to the community.
