Artist Grace
Kirkwood spends much of her time
in Southeast Alaska doing what she loves . . .
photography, painting, beading, jewelry design, and gardening,
along with web page design, writing and beach combing.
On Grace's 10th birthday, her Dad gave her a 35 mm camera.
Since then, she has been snapping a camera shutter and capturing moments
in time. In 1998, she and her husband moved to Southeast Alaska where
her art has expanded into oil painting,
dream catchers, fountains and many forms
of whimsical, yet functional pieces of art.
Her distinct and original art styles are inspired by her
natural surroundings of the pristine wilderness scenery
on Prince of Wales Island.
Her paintings
and art bring to life a part of Alaska that many only dream about.
She shares these rare treasures
from the remote Island of Prince of Wales where she lives
a subsistence lifestyle with her husband.
Do what you
love . . . love what you do!
